About 23 blocks away is a very nice bookshop, it's called Third Place. When M&E went to church, I went walking to the bookshop (wich is very unusually here). But it's only a 30 minutes walk. I love walking through the neigbourhood, there is so much to see, wich is so different from the Netherlands.
The Story of Third Place
Sociologist Ray Oldenburg's book " The Great Good Places" suggest that to lead a rewarding life, each of us needs three places. First is the home. Second is the workplace or school. Beyond lies the place where people from all walks of life and all social events interact, experiencing and celebrating their commonality as well as their diversity. It is a third place.
