Typical The Hague

One of the things we learned about The Hague when we came living here about 4,5 years ago was "Maison Kelder". It's a very famous pastry here. Their speciality is: hazelnut cream cake. It's really fantastic. But you know what's even better, the pastry is right across the quiltshop. How lucky can a girl be.

The crockery we used today was from my grandmother. We only use it for special occasions : ), like our dog's birthday. He became 12 years old yesterday.

oh those hazelnoot creme gebakjes....

I'm sure you know they also have the same with chocolate, but the hazelnut is THE BEST :-) I miss them, my DH worked in Den Haag for years and he brought home the 'left overs' from the office on his birthday, sigh...

Zijn heerlijk.
Wij dronken gisteren koffie in het Gemeentemuseum en daar serveren ze ook hazelnootgebakjes van Kelder.

JA, Ja - heel lekker. Who were your visitors for Paco's birthday celebration? I went to the Children's Hospital today as Baby Brennan was in there. Turns out she had a kidney infection. Poor little Pea. We'll talk soon.
