You know quilters, wild girls, do wild things, having a wild saturday in Rotterdam!
Needlework Expo.
Our friend Willemijn was there for the first time with her "webshop Happy Stitches". I think she did good business. Don't she look lovely between all her projects! http://www.happystitches.nl/
I bought some fun stuff like this book about knitting "tea cozies". That will find his way to Seattle, because I can't knit (well not really good). But first Dieuwke, Willemijn and I will mark with a cross our favorite tea cozies in the book, so Marne can knit them for us during the basketballgames ; ).
I also bought a very nice pattern "pumpkin lights". Halloween isn't something we really celebrating in the Netherlands, but the last years it changed a little bit. The idea is: you buy a green knot of X-mas lights, and put the pumpkins over the little lamps. That's all.
If you're interested in the pattern: http://www.handwerkateliersari.nl/, it's a a lovely little shop in The Hague! So we will put that on Marne's list as well for next year.
