Haan en Wagenmaker Quilt

I love the fabrics of the Haan en Wagenmaker. It's a quiltshop in Amsterdam, and they have a beautiful collection of reproduction fabrics. My mum bought the collection "Ton sur Ton's". I try to convince to go quilting as well. But after 1,5 year they were still laying in her cupboard, she likes sewing clothes for her grandchildren and dolls, but no quilting).

So when she was here in august, taking care of me (Rob was in France), we designed this quilt. And now the top is finished, and we have to decide about the border and the backing. Maybe it don't need a border.

Another UFO finished

I think I'm like most quilters, you start a project, you see in a magazine another nice and interesting project, so you start that as well, and before you know it, you got a lot of UFO's (Un Finished Objects, for those who're not quilters) waiting for you. This quilt, now hanging on the door of the hallway, just needed a binding. So that's done. One more project of my list. Although I must confess I started a new project from one of Tone Finnager's X-masbooks (Tilda). It's lovely with little reindeers on it.
The challenge is to finish it before X-mas 2009.

Little brown bear ....

... another project finished from one of Tone Finnangers books. One that was in my UFO-basket, now he's hanging on the door of my quiltroom. Isn't he cute? When I'm busy in my quiltroom Paco always joins me, taking a little nap on his pillow, and doing some stretching after his nap.

Friendship Bag Swap

I'm doing several swaps this year. So four weeks ago I sent this little friendship bag to Tami. She's living in the USA, I was almost afraid it got lost in the mail, because it took such a long time, but finally it was on her door mat today.
I'm really curious when my friendshipbag will arrive. There are 288 participants in this swap.

Tilda

I'm a big fan of Tone Finnagers Books about "Tilda". I think I have most of them, and they have lovely little projects, they're easy to make and don't take a lot of time. This angel I started a few months ago, and now recovering from whooping cough, I took this UFO out of my basket to finish it. Now it's hanging in my spareroom waiting for guests.

Finally arrived ... in Chile

I'm in the stitchers Angels swap, my partner Odette lives in Chile. I sent her a little gift, a pincushion and a bookcover. It took the mail very long, so I was almost afraid it didn't arrive, but yesterday she sent me an email, it took the mail three weeks to deliver. You can see the pictures on Odette's Blog

Going to Seattle....

We (Willemijn, Dieuwke and myself) just booked tickets for Seattle, so in March 2010 we're going together to Seattle to stay at Marne and Elaine. I know, it's more than 6 months, but we're really looking forward to it, making plans, talking about it, well that's part of the fun.

Rob is home

Here are the 202 PICTURES of Rob his cyclingtour.

Day 8, there is no place like home...

Well Rob made a very long trip today, I think he cycled about 160 kilometers. At 18.56 he took the train from Maastricht and now he's on his way to The Hague (arrival time: 21.40).
Originally he planned to cycle this distcane in two days, but as he told me, it's good to be back home, and nothing sleeps as good as your own bed. I'm very glad he's coming home, now I can hear all his adventures and see the pictures. Watch my blog tomorrow, for more stories and pictures of Rob's cycling tour.
